Laughter is the best medicine

I haven't written in a few weeks, have been traveling Europe (and Africa at the last minute).... With the best group of people! A Special group would be a better description! It has been just the most wonderful, fun, joyful, faith filled  time!! I am so grateful to God for each and everyone of the 49 of us!! And for the opportunity and availability to travel with this group from my church!!  We head back home tomorrow, back to the USA. I'm sad to have to leave and get back to the hustle and demands of life again. But I just had to share these few stories tonight quick, as over the last couple weeks, we have all laughed and laughed!  And I truly believe it's one of the best things God created to enjoy between friends and families. It's a beautiful thing!!
So today I was walking through a small town, down the little streets, winding through. Sun shining, window shopping, (and we might have even stopped to get some yummy pastries) :) it was the perfect afternoon... but one of the guys told this story.... And I just about fell over laughing so hard!! It was the best!

So here goes (true story btw)----- this man while in school, wanted to get a most special gift for his mother for Christmas. So he went to a department store, like Younkers, and was looking around. For the most perfect gift! He came upon the sign that said "Queen"' and thought to himself.... That must be really special things!! For like a princess or queen. So he found something nice and wrapped it up.  Low and behold, when his mom opened the gift, he ended up being in the dog house for six months!!! Whoops! :)  Haha!! I laughed so hard! It was great!

And then this same man, was in college, and pretty poor, so asked his dad if he could go in together on a gift to get his mom for Christmas. His dad agreed and they went shopping together, and found a nice outfit, and all was well. The next year, he asked his dad the same thing, to go together on a gift. He agreed, and they went shopping again. That Christmas, his mom was opening her present, and upon seeing what was inside said, "I can't believe this!!" She left to get something out of her closet, and funny thing, held it up next to the outfit in the box she just opened.... SAME outfit!!! Hahaha!!! Bless that mother! :)

It was just the perfect day!! Laughter is the best medicine! :)

I will be writing more and sharing pictures from our wonderful travels!! So many beautiful parts of this world of ours! So much to be grateful for! And was so loved on my birthday!! So stay posted, and you will be able to travel the world with me!
