Dear Ginessa Marie....

Dear Sweet Ginessa Marie,

Where do I even start? We have waited 9 months for you to come. We have touched your mama's tummy to feel you move and kick. We have imagined if you were a boy or a girl. We were so excited to be aunts for the first time! We were just so excited! We were planning on you coming around February 10th, or even after. With you being the first baby, we weren't planning on you coming early. So we were beyond thrilled to get the text from our brother, your daddy, that you were coming!
So when that morning came, February 3rd... we couldn't keep our excitement inside!! Your daddy texted us all early that morning, around 4:30 am, saying, "I was awaken at 1am this morning with, "I think my water broke." I guess baby wants to meet all of you a week early." Each of our responses were different... but all so excited!! You were actually COMING! We couldn't wait!! I immediately started praying that your delivery would be safe, and you would be healthy, and that your mommy would be okay too. When I got out of bed, I did do a little happy dance in my living room!! And I know your Aunt Sarah did a happy dance at her work and told everyone she worked with that you were coming!!  We couldn't wait to find out what you were, your name, and to meet you!! And mostly to see our brother be your daddy!
I would have loved to see your dad's expression when your mommy woke him up to tell him you were coming early. I would have loved to listen to their conversation in the car to the hospital. Your daddy had to unpack the car seat and get it all situated in the car that early morning, you see they have been redoing your home to have it all perfect for you to come home in, so didn't quite have everything ready. But you couldn't have come to meet us anymore perfectly! I was helping your dad a few days before finish some things in their kitchen, and asked him and your mom, "What were they most excited about your coming?" They both answered separately that they couldn't wait to find out what you were-- a boy or girl! They just couldn't wait to finally meet you!
Then at around 10:30 am... we all got the best news ever!! That you have arrived! That you were healthy! That your mama was healthy!! That you were perfect in every way!! You were the sweetest little girl, named Ginessa Marie, weighing 6lbs, 14oz, and 19.5".  A little on the small side with such tall parents, but your beautiful, long fingers makes us all think you will be a basketball player or piano player someday! You came into this big world of ours at 8:34am. Welcome to the world sweet baby girl Ginessa Marie. I think one of your aunts said it perfectly, "This is the Happiest Day in the History of Life!!!!!" I was driving to get my car's oil changed.... so you know the first person I told--- The car mechanic! :) Haha! I bet he thought... this girl is crazy!! But I just couldn't keep my happiness inside! I wanted to tell everyone I met!! You were here!! Our perfect little miracle and gift from God was here!! Thank you Jesus and Mary!!
We couldn't wait to meet you. We waited til everyone got off work that day to head to the hospital. And by our Blessed Mother Mary's intercession, your Grandma B. was able to get off work too. That is a story I will tell you in person someday. When we arrived at the hospital, we had to wait to see you, as you were eating, but we got to see your daddy!! I've never seen him so happy!! I never saw him smile so much! Or have such a BIG smile!! It went from ear to ear! Yes-- he looked tired, but he was a DAD!! And just so happy!! It was one of the most beautiful and special moments I've witnessed.
The moment came when we finally got to meet you!! We walked into your room, and there you were, so perfect and precious in the arms of your mommy! She had the biggest smile on her face too! I just wanted to scoop you up, but also wanted to take in the moment-- it was almost like you were holy, or full of awe, as if one was afraid to touch the beautiful miracle. You! You-- Ginessa Marie-- so much joy you brought already! Your Grandma B. was the first to hold you. And what a special moment. Her first grandchild! The joy in her eyes. Then was your Aunt Kara and Aunt Sarah! Those special moments! I loved taking pictures trying to capture it all. Finally it was my turn... what a memory. Your tiny, precious body in my arms. You were so perfect and beautiful in every way! Your nose, your checks, your mouth, your fingers, your toes. I just couldn't believe you were finally here! So proud and excited to tell everyone about you! And so grateful to Jesus that He blessed us with your precious life!! What a gift!! Life.. it's such a miracle! And the special gift you gave all of us of becoming aunts and uncles! You will forever have a very special place in our hearts!
One of my favorite things about that night, was watching how much your mommy and daddy love each other. The way they would look at each other, help each other. The way your daddy took care of your mommy. It was so beautiful! They love you so very much! You are going to have the best parents! I hope you know someday how happy we all are to have you here. And getting to watch our brother and his wife become daddy and mama will forever be one of the greatest joys of our life! Ginessa Marie, with 9 aunts and 3 uncles, be sure to know that you will always and forever know what LOVE is!!

I think the words from Laura Story's song, "God of Every Story," says it best.
And now there's this new baby girl.
And with one breath she's changed our whole world.
Some say she looks like Dad,
But she looks like grace to me.
Your Grace to me!

With all my love,
 Aunt Stacey
