It's been a while since I've written. Life's been a little crazy, a
little lot bit of up and down. And time continues to pass by... fast! It's Jan 10th already! Jeepers! I always remember being a little girl, and when we had breaks -- summer, Christmas -- those days would go on forever. And now, as I get older, I feel the days go by faster and faster. Not sure why that is. If the older you get, the busier you are, so then time just goes so fast. Or is it, the older we get, the more we understand the concept of time, and so it ends up being gone before we can blink an eye. Who knows... I just know that sometimes I wish we could stop time for just a little while and catch up. But then things wouldn't change. And change never goes away. Some things can be good change, some things can be bad change. Some changes are really, really hard, and some changes are really easy. Some changes turn from good to bad. Some turns from bad to good. Some changes bring tears, some bring smiles. All I know for sure, change is inevitable in life. Just like that saying, "The only thing constant in life is change." So even when we don't want things to change, or we might not understand how or why some thing has to change, we have to accept it. We have to embrace the change, trust in God that His plan is right and perfect, and make the most of the situation. Live in the present, and try not to get caught up in worrying about the future. Take one day at a time, one moment at a time, if that's what is needed. And find that courage we each have, deep inside, and use that courage to live!
Yesterday, I caught up on reading my "pink" book. And when I say caught up... I mean, I haven't started since the beginning of the year... so yes, I had 9 reflections to read. (Thank goodness they are only a couple paragraphs each) :) But as I read through each one, and thought about what they were saying... they all had a theme... and that was Trust! Trust in God!
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding." ~Proverbs 3:5
Here are a few excerpts that I wrote down.
~God understands the pain we feel-- giving us the most effective help. He is always glad to listen and has promised never to fail us. Trust Him!
~When we willingly wait on God to fulfill the desires of our heart, we deepen our worship to Him. Our glorifying Him. Proves we have confidence in His timing. -- leaves us able to truly enjoy the present moment.
~Trust in Him to heal the depths of your soul. Trust Him to turn this place of pain into a reason for praising Him!
"The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul that seeks Him." ~Lamentations 3:25
